A Matter of Balance

A Matter of Balance is a program based upon research conducted by the Roybal Center of Enhancement of Late-Life Function at Boston University. It is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels in older adults who have concerns about falls.
Target audience:
- are concerned about falls
- have sustained a fall in the past
- restrict activities because of concerns about falling
- are interested in improving flexibility, balance and strength
- are age 60 or older, ambulatory and able to problem solve
Sessions will include group discussion, problem-solving, skill building, assertiveness training, sharing practical solutions, videos, exercise training.
The course is offered in collaboration with the Granite VNA. Note that you register once for the series and that you are committing to all 8 sessions. We must have a minimum of 8 registrations to offer this course.
