Big Trees of Northern New England

Wednesday, June 265:30—7:00 PMProgram Meeting Room

Author and wooden boat builder Kevin Martin brings us through the woods and into some cities in 4 northern New England states to find the biggest trees, these impressive living parts of our landscape. The trips include old growth pine or hemlock forests and a city tour with a horse chestnut in Portsmouth, NH that was planted by a signer of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Northern New England has several national champion Big Trees and some of those are also shown.

Kevin Martin is the author of Big Trees of New Hampshire and most recently Big Trees of Northern New England. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
