Crafternoon for Tween & Teens

Wednesday, February 93:00—4:15 PMProgram Meeting Room

Join us every month to make and take a different craft using a variety of mediums and materials.  Registration is required for this program  which is geared for ages 10+. Participants over 10 can attend without a parent in attendance per our Library Policy. The library closes promptly at 5:00pm and all children must be picked by 5.

C. Age at which child may be unattended: The age at which a child may be unattended in the Library is ten years of age. They are free to use the Library’s resources as long as needed, provided their behavior is not disruptive to other patrons or staff. If a child becomes disruptive to other patrons or staff, or becomes distressed, the parents will be informed. Parents should realize that, in their absence, they are still legally responsible for their children’s behavior.

D. Library Closing: If any unattended children are found in the Library at fifteen minutes prior to closing time, the staff member will remind child of closing time and allow him or her to call for transportation or to locate family members using the library telephone. Parents will be informed when they pick up the child that the child may not be unattended in the Library. If a child’s parent or guardian cannot be located within fifteen minutes after closing, the librarian or library staff person will contact the Police Department to assist in locating the parent or guardian. Under no circumstances would a staff member transport a child in his or her own vehicle. Two staff members are to remain with the child until parents or police arrive.

Registration for this event has now closed.
