New Hampshire writer and outdoor enthusiast Linda Magoon presents a talk about her experience climbing all of New Hampshire's 48 4,000-foot mountains when she was in her late 50s and how she used hiking to re-discover her sense of autonomy.

About the speaker

Linda Magoon is an environmentalist and outdoor enthusiast. She reconnected with her love of hiking after ending a difficult marriage and set out to climb all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000-foot peaks. Now Linda writes and empowers others on the mental and physical health benefits of the outdoors. Her outdoor essays have been published in various magazines. She is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and NH Writers’ Project.
