Canterbury Shaker Village was founded in 1969 and designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1993. The historic site, dedicated to preserving the heritage and 200-year legacy of the Canterbury Shakers, has 25 restored original Shaker buildings, 4 reconstructed Shaker buildings, and 694 acres of forests, fields, gardens, nature trails, and mill ponds under permanent conservation easement. Visitors can engage in guided and self-guided tours, family activities, exhibits, educational programs, and the occasional special event. The Museum Store and the Shaker Box Lunch & Farm Stand are on the premises.

Pass Benefits

Museum hours: Open mid May - November.  The Village grounds are always free to visit, year round.

Guided Tour Hours: Monday-Sunday at 11AM, 1PM, and 2:30PM (check the website, www.shakers.org, to verify hours.
Village Store & Exhibit Hours: Monday– Sunday,  10AM – 4PM
Village Grounds & Trails: Every day, dawn to dusk, and free to visit.  All are welcome to visit the Village, walk the trails, and explore the beautiful grounds. 

The pass provides free admission to a guided tour for up to 2 adults and 2 children, as well as a 10% discount in the Village Store.

Not valid for members-only events, discounts in the cafe, and for events that require an additional fee or advance registration.
