McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, located in Concord, NH, is dedicated to the two astronauts who came from the granite state—Christa McAuliffe and Alan Shepard. The museum offers a range of permanent and changing exhibits that focus on astronomy, aviation, earth and space science, including full-sized replicas of Mercury 7 and Mercury-Redstone rockets, a 1956 XF8U-3 Crusader jet, and items from Star Trek movies, a planetarium, and an observatory. There is a museum shop and café on the premises.

Pass Benefits

Located in Concord, NH, the Discovery Center is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:30am to 4pm from Labor Day through June (hours may expand during school vacation weeks). Open seven days a week for NH & MA school vacation weeks.

The pass is valid for general admission for up to 4 people.  Children under 2 years old are always admitted free. There is an additional charge for Planetarium shows ($7 per ticket).

Library passes cannot be redeemed for member only events but can be used for Super Stellar Fridays.

New England Aquarium

The New England Aquarium is home to thousands of aquatic animals, from the giant Pacific octopus to Northern fur seals to little blue penguins. They offer a wide range of exhibits, including a shark and ray touch tank and the Giant Ocean Tank, a four-story coral reef featuring hundreds of Caribbean animals. In addition, they have an IMAX theatre and run whale watch boat excursions in partnership with Boston Harbor Cruises from April through November.

New Hampshire Boat Museum

The New Hampshire Boat Museum was founded in 1992 by a group of antique and classic boating enthusiasts to celebrate the boating heritage and life on the lakes and rivers of New Hampshire. The museum is home to a collection of antique and classic boats, and exhibits on the history and culture of fresh-water boating in the state. A 45-minute narrated tour of the self-described “most beautiful part of Lake Winnipesaukee” in the museum's replica 1928 wooden Hacker-Craft may be had for an additional fee.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

The Library Membership pass is valid for up to FOUR $15 trail admissions  during the 2026 season. 

The Library pass can be picked up a few days prior to the reservation. Please note that passes are unavailable for pickup on Sundays or other days the library may be closed, please plan accordingly.

Science Center Hours of Operation - Daily May 1 through November 1, 2024 from 9:30am - 5:00pm.  Last admission is at 3:30pm.

Wright Museum of World War II

Located in Wolfeboro, NH, this museum is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the contributions and legacy of WWII-era Americans. This is done through special exhibits and their collection of over 14,000 items that focus on the years 1939 to 1945.
